He came into roofing through the family trade

Niv grew up around construction work on both sides of his family. His grandfather worked in construction, his father is a contractor, and Niv became a contractor too. He learned the trade at home first, before he ever worked in it himself.

How he prices a roof

Niv can start pricing your roof from satellite imagery of the building. He asks about roof size, stories, pitch, existing layers, and rot underneath the covering. Each of those details changes what your roof costs, so the estimate has to cover them.

A roof usually costs more than owners expect, and Niv says so up front. He prices roofs by the square, and a single square equals a hundred square feet.

Roofs he works on

The work he prefers

Niv likes a full residential roof replacement best of all. A full replacement takes the old covering off down to the deck, then builds the roof back up. He also takes on leak repairs, tile underlayment work, and low slope commercial roofs.

Free estimate, paid report

Niv gives a free estimate on every roof he quotes, from a repair to a replacement. A written report for an insurer or an escrow file is a separate paid service. The estimate prices the work, while the report documents the condition of the roof.
